RNLI Boat House

This bespoke building built for the RNLI located on the edge of the river Blyth, sits on a complex arrangement of piled foundations and reinforced concrete ground beams. The specification has been rigorously prepared and implemented to cope with the severe weather conditions on the North East Coast.

The building combines feature blockwork, larch cladding and is topped of with a single ply roof. The interior is fitted to a high standard to meet the many varied fuctions of the life boat crew. The building benefits from an ingenious environmentally friendly sea water heat pump that helps provide heat all year round to the building.
